Howdy, woody, and welcome to airforums.com!

You'll see that everyone has their favourite cleaner.

Mine is Mr Clean, right out of the bottle using a wet cloth (an old facecloth is my fav) that I turn frequently and rinse out when I run out of clean parts..

All the grime comes off, and when I'm done, it smells nice in the trailer, too!

Now, where are the pics of your new trailer!?

I found Cilit Bang worked amazingly. It not only got rid of the dirt but it also got rid of the stickyness of the vinyl. It's also good to have a large collection of old toothbrushed for all the nooks and crannies.

Good luck scrubbing,
Lucy.

We use orange oil for cleaning everything, then the "Andy floor wax" trick on the walls afterward to reduce the stickiness of the vinyl coated aluminum panels.

I'm glad my interior aluminum panels were never painted. They're easy to clean up as they are. The OEM finish is much more durable than any paint I know of.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

I used Simple Green right out of the bottle (spray mode). Worked on an area about 4 ft. square at a time. Spray SG on wait a few seconds, wipe it off using one of those microfiber cloths rinsed in clean warm water. Emptied the rinse pail often because it looked like "strange" tea. Took about 10 hours total to do all of the walls and cabinet surfaces (inside and out) including the walls of the trailer that are in the back of the cabinets and under the beds. I am very pleased with the results. Our '74 Argosy 26 was in need of a real cleaning when we bought it last October. Looks and smells like new now. I have a few photo's posted, see my profile.

I'm guessing you mean Cillit Bang. This product.

I would be careful, the Wikipedia reference that the link leads to does not mention the kind of material that the interior of an Airstream uses, IMHO.

It's not plain as day clear, about that, but it also cautions against using it on "any acid sensitive material, such as marble or enamel, aluminium, copper, stone, zinc-plated metals, kitchen worktops, linoleum, varnished, waxed or oiled wood floors, rubber, textiles or carpets."

Caveat emptor.

welcome to the forums!!! I used either Fantastik! or 409 for cleaning mine.. took the stickiness off the vinyl as well. Some soft scrub pads work well also for the tough areas.

Yes, the pads work really well. We got this (Amazon.com: Black & Decker PKS160 Power Scrubber: Kitchen & Dining)
which just has a hook/loop which you can simply attach the green pads from target or walmart to. Throw some rechargeable AA's in it and you don't even break a sweat!

POR-15....get a gallon, dilute with water - it works better for me to get the grease off the vinyl covered interior aluminum skin than any other product I've tired - and I tried many of those listed above; crud cutter, simple green, etc...you'll need lots of ventilation, but it works, hand down, better than the others...
