We cut Reflectix to fit windows. No light. No snoopers. We hold in using blue painters tape but don't leave up for too long.

Most of ours are a little tighter and stay in without tape.

They will give insulation too. They can be kept when you have curtains! We keep ours up to minimize heat and light burn of interior.

You can get thin foam board at Home Depot or Lowes and cut it to fit the windows. Use it later for when AS is not in use to insulate and save your new curtains from sun rot.

Just tell her about all the money you'd save on curtains...

I used those paper accordion curtains too ... Lowe's/Home Depot.... they'll be way too long but just trim them off at the bottom -- ours stayed up through two camping trips until we got the new curtains made!
