We are new to the RV'ing life - we have recently purchased a '77 Airstream Sovereign Landyacht. She is in pretty good shape - spent many years resting in a barn! So far, we have ripped out the twin beds and put in a queen bed (using high tech materials to keep the weight ultra-light), recovered the sofa and painted the interior with melamine paint. She looks very nice and cosy except for one thing - the curtains are very sad and saggy looking as the fabric is worn in places and all the elastic holding the upper and lower fasteners has lots its stretch. We are also missing some of the fasteners and we haven't a clue where to find more. Does anyone know where we could find replacement curtain hardware and/or curtains?

You can find a good selection curtain stuff ->Here<- . They will also have a lot of other stuff you might need.
Welcome and congratulations on your Airstream acquisition.
Check the internet for James P. Ambruso, Inc. They custom make Airstream curtains. I believe there is a Forum member who does this also; however, I can't find the name for you.

Factory drapes are available from a few dealers that sell parts.
Also, the "T" and "G" drape tabs with the elastic are available from a few parts dealers, such as us.
You must check the replacement draperies for your Airstream by James P. Ambruso, Inc. We initially tried his product for the front window of our Airstream. We were so very impressed with the high quality, that we replaced the draperies throughout. The drapes are constructed for your specific model, the fabric is sturdy and fully lined, and will fit your Airstream windows perfectly, just like the original ones. His website is listed below.
Good Luck!
We highly recommend Tammy of Silver Threads. We found the prices to be very high with some of the others we checked with and fabric choices were very limited. We had an ideal of a design we were specific about and found our fabric on eBay and had it shipped to Tammy. We also took down our drapes and mailed them to her so that she could have the exact measurements. Not only did she line them and add all new elastic tabs and mail them back to us with exact directions of where each panel belonged within two weeks, she charged us something like 1/4 - 1/3 the prices we received from other sources. She works by herself and from her home and her finished product is very professional looking.
I agree with Becky. You should at least contact Tammy. I think you will be very pleased.

Already sent her an email. We've been toying with the idea of my wife making the curtains but we have so much other work we're getting estimates to have them made. Its great to have info on these people/services available on here.
I too am a new owner (November 2007) of an older Airstream that we call Lucy. I sew, and being a single parent and trying to stay within a reasonable budget, I am going to try making my draperies myself. Can anyone tell me which slides that I should be using for the living room draperies? I purchased Lucy, and she had no drapes anywhere, and no slides. So I am not certain which ones that I should purchase. We are planning the weekend of February 22, to go camping in her (only the second time), so I need to know what to purchase prior to taking the hour plus drive, with sewing machine in tow. Any help would be wonderfully appreciated.

Several different drapes tabs were used back them, and changed from year to year.
Please post the trailer serial number.
From that, I can tell you excatly which drape tab or tabs you need.
