We have a 1976 31 foot and we took up all the carpet, sanded the floor, and painted it with outside porch enamel. I also bought a piece of Armstrong no stick vinyl flooring, cut out a patter for the front and middle of the trailer, cut it out and laid it down. It looked really nice. I cut a separate piece for the bathroom.

I'm partial to the painted floor and then use throw rugs throughout the trailer. I have a big dog and it works great for keeping it clean.

Carpet removal in 76 Argosy 26

In response to #13 and comment on easy carpet removal - Original avocado green carpet basically a single run with a seam at rear bath door. Sides of carpet are stuck under most furniture edges then smaller pieces fill in space from inside of furniture walls so under furniture to wall or wheel wells. No furniture was screwed through carpet and all was pulled out in one piece from bath forward (not counting little pieces) without moving furniture, that's cabinet, gaucho etc. so easy may be best way to replace but still thinking on that too. No carpet was under refrigerator, water heater, heater or front water tank.
