73 TW two part question, cushion material

Hey all, the 1973 Tradewind has been home 2 days. I am taking inventory on what I want done. First off is re-upolstering the front fold out couch. It seems to have been redone in the 80's with a brown splash type material (YUCK!) I was able to find under the armrest the original material, from 73, that looks wonderful to me! (see pic) I was wondering if anyone knows of a supply house for anything reasonably close. I am trying to keep the trailer vintage. I also do not have back cushions for the twin beds in the center, in a picture add I see them represented, guessing the where thrown out at some point. The front couch back cushion fits, would these all be the same? Also would the mattress/bottom cushion and back cushion be the same material as the front? Again the pic in the ad seems to point to that direction. Thanks MPJ

The better half and her friend wandered around the local fabric stores and she finally found an upholstery grade fabric to make cushions for the dinette I built last winter.
I thought hard woods and veneers were expensive. Ha.
Good material is $25 bucks a yard but the foam for 11 linear feet of dinette cushions was about $350. Donít skimp on the foam.
All together materials, including padding, gimp and zippers, ran about $600. I was lucky to be able to have a family member do the sewing.
This computer doesnít have the photos on it but cushions came out great. Iíll find and post them later to give you an idea of what she found.
If you can do the work yourself then start hunting for a pattern you like and start researching the different grades, types and usage for the foam you need.
The other option is to find a shop that does upholstery for boaters. They will have the fabric samples you can order in, the right foam to use and the heavy-duty machines to do the sewing. Expect to pay for the expertise and experience however.

Hereís a pic of the dinette with the new fabric. Ití a big improvement over the wadded up Futon mattress on top of a sagging couch.
The better half wasnít crazy about the original floral type pattern. There is a similar pattern on the piece of wall insulation along the bed, which may have been the inspiration for this.
Weíre not restoring the trailer to original like the last one. This leaves a lot more room for your own tastes and preferences.
Good luck. Enjoy the rehab even thought it will frustrate the hell out of you at times.

Found a fabric, what do you think?

here is a pic of the original fabric under the armrest of the couch, and a pic of a sample I found that might do. Do you think It's close? I plan on ordering a samle. MPJ
