Does anyone know what kind of curtain carriers I need for our 1968 Tradewind???

That tab is called a Kirsch drape tab.

When I was looking up the different kinds of tabs, there were different kinds: T, G etc. Which one exactly?

I sort of didn't list all the info, the first time.

Make sure you have a 1968 though as back then drape tabs frequently changed from year to year.

Yes it's a 68. The track is at the top only. Button snap bottoms. The curtains would hang straight down from the track. Looks to be about 3/16" slit opening. Also will need the stops. Looks to be about 1/2" circle opening.

The end stops are usuall a small screw or a pop rivet.

Did you confirm what they look like from the link in post # 2?

I don't have any old ones to compare. So you are saying that those are the tabs I need? Are they considered small track or large track carriers?

Neither one.

That was the drape tab used by Airstream for all the 1968 model trailers.

The track was at the top and the bottom of the drapes were held in place with an elastic cord, stretching accross the bottom of the drapes.

You may find a small bracket on each side of the windows about 6 inches or so up from the bottom of the glass. The elastic cord was fastened to it.

Splinter - I have a '68 Sovereign. Just to tell you what I had in mine (sorry no pictures, they're all down). There was a metal channel above the windwo and one on the bottom. I think the bottom of the curtain used the tabs shown on Andy's link sewn onto the curtain, the top had the same metal channel and similar tabs, but the ones on the link would work as well. I also had buttons on the sides which used to hold the curtains open, but none on the bottom - just the channel. I can probably dig up the channels if you need to see a picture of what they look like.

And since Andy beat me to this response - I now remember the bottom ones had round ends with elastic looped into them which connected to the curtain - the ends that went in the channel looked like the tabs Andy showed you.

Real quick - the links above are what is used on the top of the curtains - this one Large Eye Curtain Sliders was on the bottom - the round part had about 1" of elastic looped through it and sewn to the bottom of the curtain. As you slide the curtain into the top and bottom channels, the bottom one with the elastic would keep it tight.

I wish I could find my before pictures, but I can't seem to but I know that channel is around here somewhere...

Thanks everyone. If I'm understanding: I can use Andy's tabs and sew them right into the curtain for the top, and then I need to make a pocket and feed rope through the bottom since I don't have a bottom rail to hold the bottom in place, and need some kind of snaps to hold curtain open??? Also will need stops once I get the top curtain in place???
