Start off using the mildest cleaner that'll do the trick. Work up to more agressive if it doesn't work. Never use bleach or ammonia directly on the aluminum bad chemical reactions (fumes) can occur and you could also etch the aluminum. Also be careful using any abrasives on the plastic/fiberglass sink/toilets, they can scratch. Again, if you try the mildest cleaners first, you'll be better off.

I used Murphy's Oil Soap on my cabinets & walls with great success then just went at the troubled areas with 409 or Dow's Scubbing Bubbles or Soft Scrub. In a '66 you have the vinyl walls, I'm told Simple Green works well on removing the stickiness if you have it.

Be sure to take before & after pictures...they are always fun to look back at! Besides, everybody here likes to follow along with your progress and encourage you when needed.

Krud Kutter has alot of perfumes in it; wish they'd have skipped those ingredients and it also leaves a strong detergent film behind after cleaning.

Diluted it to 1/4 strength it still works good - but count on having to wash it again with windex to get rid of the cloying odor and soap residue since who knows how it will react with the vinyl after a few seasons. A couple of old bath towels and a basin of water also works well.
