25 Safari interior updates

I posted pics on what did you get for your trailer today but I might as well create a thread by subject for everyone to share.

Here is my new sofa, floor, commode, kitchen faucet, micro and ocean shades.

Very nice. Is the couch the original gaucho recovered or a replacement? If replacement where did you find it?

The couch is a custom from Villa International (yes I bit the bullet) and it is their template from Airstream 2014 Classic (the regular couch w/o power).

It sits higher than the old one (flexsteel) but is way more comfortable. It has a slight back tilt and by the time you sink in a bit the back is nicely at the shoulder blades. I also matched the color of the dark trim classic- Brisa Patina Ultraleather.

I used the plastic white quarter round from Lowes and a heat gun to mold it into shapes I then painted to match.

Really looks great. Nice job!

Regarding the baseboard moulding another question. How did you attach it? Nail, screw or glue?

Thanks for sharing your project!

A very nice update, indeed. As the owner of an '06 Safari, I hope you don't have a copyright on the design. It really looks great. What is the counter top material?

ahh, attachment, well, I first tried it with nails and some I left that way. Then I switched to glue. So... I am somewhat unhappy with that aspect but overall it came out nice. You have to work carefully with the heat gun or the cornering process will deform the plastic quarter round.

I ALWAYS find that any kind of project I do is an experiment. No, there is no copyright! Have fun. I am always thinking of ways to improve the Airstream or discover something missing to add.

The countertops are original. Formica "graphite" color.

Well, maybe sometime we'll meet up and we can watch a movie or relax.
