I doubt 77 would be strong enough, I would use contact cement. It is used to glue formica to counter tops and I know it worked with the pebbled fiberglass. I used a saber saw and table saw with a fine toothed blade.

I just used a 15$ heat gun and easily removed the peeling contact paper like material in my shower , the wood looks much nicer anyway, Im thinking spar varnish and some new caulking, has anyone tried this ? 77 Sovereign, rear bedroom
