Lake Havasu City Boondocking

We just returned from a trip that included a couple days in the Lake Havasu Arizona area. RV parks cost a bundle in that area, state park was closed for repairs. Found a really neat boondock area, going north on 93 just past the airport on the right, road follows the airport fence into a real awesome canyon. We went back about one mile, plenty of room to park, quiet. Also noticed a fair number of RV'ers at Wal-Mart, not sure if it is legal as the town has posters all over says only legal camping is in campgrounds. Canyon is BLM
