For those of you who are looking for National Forest camping in Arizona, New Mexico and the NW Texas area, take note.

Next time you see a Forest Service office, stop and ask for the: Recreation Sites in Southwestern National Forests and Grasslands". It measures 5.5" by 8.5", green (of course!) with 70 pages of camping locations. My copy was printed October 2001, so newer editions could be available.

Name of Recreation Site, Location with miles and direction from a reference town, elevation, number of camping units, if water is available, trailer access, season, stay limit and if anything else to add. EXCELLENT to have around. There are six ranger districts in these states and there is no cost to pick up a copy!
