What happened to the Boondocking categories?

Am I just dreaming, or didn't the Boondocking section used to be (like last week!) broken down by areas-Northeast, Southwest, etc. I don't see them anymore?

It's still intact but the format has changed a little. If you click into Boondocking you will see the different locations.

Oh..that's a mess! You have to click on each thread, and they are not sorted. It was a lot easier to pick an area and then look at all the threads!

It's a work in progress. I will send your concerns forward and see if this can be resolved. Be patient.

It is a work in progress but you can still sort the section. Scroll down to the bottom and sort by prefix. You can bunch up the threads just exactly the way they were in their various subforum.

Send a message via Skype™ to Zeppelinium
what's the diff between "southwest" and "west"? Seems to me that southwest would be CO, NM, AZ, UT, NV, CA. Then there should be a new sort based on northwest, eg, ID, OR, WA.

Makes it tough to place WY and MT, but maybe a category of loneliest or openskies could include WY, MT, ND, SD.

The categories haven't been changed from the old subforum categories and I agree they are imperfect. Folks from CA don't seem to like to be grouped in the PNW or the SW. Great plains states are also problematic.

The thought here is that thread prefixes can offer a more granular way to sort threads. If this looks like something that might work, we could change the prefixes to be state names. You could simply sort by state.

This is AWFUL! The old system was easy, but this is just a waste of time. Sorry, but the komoputtrer guys evidently don't need to look for camp spots! Grrrrr

Perfect example of taking a perfectl;y good thing and making it totally useless!

Have you tried sorting by prefix? You can group up all threads in a specific area this way.

I would really like to know how long it takes to become half way proficient on this sight? I've never been on a sight that is so difficult to navigate. I need to change my profile and I can't even find out how to do that!
