Welcome to the forums
Glad to see you are thinking ahead.. Some of the hotter months we find a land line and plug into for AC comfort at nights and for that mid afternoon nap.. Here in West Kansas its normal to see temps in the 100s late summers.
Off season mostly to view wildlife in remote locations we boom dock allot. No people,, no hassles.. Just pull off and enjoy the area alone.
For us,, most Kansas state parks have roads that take one to the upper end of the ponds,, (what we call lakes) for hunters and such.. No problem to just find a wide spot and pull over and set up camp.
Just about every farm in our area has a remote location next to a pond,, or creek and if asked will let one camp over the hill and enjoy there part of the world.. Just ask and leave not a mark where you were to be allowed to camp again..
