Smile southern az camping

Give "Silverado Ranch" in Douglas AZ a try. We did it over Thanksgiving. "Free Camping" requires a donation of $10 a day. Belle Starr the owner is down with a broken leg but has a ranch hand running things. She also has hookup sites, no idea what the "donation is"
If you like horses, mules, donkeys, dogs, chickens, etc etc etc--this is the place. Also a short hop to Bisbee that is always fun, especially the restaurants they have added.
Douglas had added great shopping recently.
And Sierra-Vista is 33 miles away for full service.

There is a cheap BLM site just south of Why, AZ on 85. If you are of age, (62 & older), & have a National Parks Lands Pass, Organ Pipe NM will cost 6 bucks a night. Dry camping at both sites, though water & dump is available at Organ Pipe.

Lower reaches of the Chiricahua's. Eastern slope of the Santa Ritas. Along the San Pedro near Sierra Vista, are a few.

Come on up to Quartzsite. We have a 4CU compound set up at the Tyson Wash LTVA (Long Term Visitors Area) where Jimini said you could get a 14 day pass for $40.

Not in Arizona, but if you are coming across I-10, check out Rockhound State Park in southern New Mexico (I think it's near Demming). It's a great stop and has electric and water in some sites, with a dump station. Last time we stayed there, I think it was $12 or $14 per night.
