Solar Hook-up To Power-It Battery Gen

Hi folks,
Just curious if anybody has any experience hooking up a 100watt solar panel to a lithium battery generator once carried by Walmart named; PowerIt.
Its a 12.5 volt, 9.9 amp input. I have tried to find the manual, and videos etc online with no avail.
It is a good unit, but I need to not rely on the grid to power it up.

you need to place a solar controller between the solar panel and the battery

many of us are very happy with the Victron energy devices
they make them is various sizes depending on your planned peak capacity ie Voltage and current

this is our DC side schematic showing the controller in place
you should also add breakers and shut off devices so that you can safely work on the system

also the panel output voltage needs to be a few volts above the battery voltage in order for the battery to be charged. the controller helps this process
