Silver and Gold

I just got a '76 31' international sovereign and have plans of hauling it down to The Kit Cat "B" ORMC Placer Gold Claim owned by my family (20 acres of Old Growth trees and a clean clear creek in the Umpqua National Forest, known for it's Gold nuggets. A "boon-docking paradise" great obstruction free road in suitable for big rigs and a giant turn around area. I'm looking for folks with airstream dreams that might want to co-operate while AS camping & gold panning in the Bohemia mining district around Sharps Creek. (27 miles east of I-5). Perhaps next summer 2012. Seeking Co-Adventurers , peace, DeadAir

Gold Placering

Could you give me the county name the claim is located? I can then go through my mining library to locate any information that might be of interest to you, if I might. I am assuming this is located in Oregon, but to go back to your message I will loose my train, usually on the verge of being derailed, of thought.

Nuggets. I bought a modern metal detector made by White's this summer and the electronics can detect a bb or piece of bullet shrapnel at 6 to 10 inches. I am using it along the 1867-1868 Union Pacific track in Wyoming and have exhausted myself by not taking a break while "finding" coins, brass, lead and pounds of iron... No gold, but your offer should attract much attention. At $1700 an ounce, a few grams will be good gas money, lots of good healthy exercise with shovel and pan, and an excellent idea of how hard these early prospectors worked to make their grub.

Good luck and how generous an offer!!

Sounds very interesting, and the best part is that it is almost in my back yard, or at least an area that I frequently travel. Used my White's a lot in the Sumpter/Granite area and always looking for new adventures.
