I just felt the thread could use more drama... It was getting as dry as... well, as dry as toast.

-Red, spicing it up a bit....

Making good toast

Oh yeah, Shamrockboat, I've seen a Magic Chef oven on Craigslist for $100... Check Jacksonville FL Craigslist, search Airstream.

-Red, finding ovens...

Got a jar of spun honey in the holidays. In love with toast with spun honey.

Agree with Red, no drama yet, nobody's mad. Should I ask what kind of TV I need to get the best toast, or whether I should toast on 15" vs 16" wheels? Maybe whether toast adds enough weight to need a WD / anti-sway hitch?

We like "Texas toast" - buttered bread fried in the pan until lightly browned on both sides.

Thumbs up

I like RI toast, teenie tiny Wonderbread croutons fried in Crisco with Orange Marmalade dip and a nice hot cup of Instant Postum....

y'all are making me hungry for toast! I used to make a midnight snack of cheese toast and tea. So satisfying relaxing out under the stars in a hammock at midnight on a dark and starry night.

I haven't done that in awhile, but it may have to become my new camping tradition. I already do the tea. We just have no working appliances yet in the... so may have to test the halogen oven I bought to see how well it works for toast!

Texas toast is just too big. It doesn't fit on a normal size stove top, or even in a normal size Airstream. You need a 34 footer with slides... Everything is too big in Texas!!!

Have never seen a halogen oven, but I'm thinking Easy Bake on steroids... Midnight cheese toast and tea under the stars sounds like a plan!

-Red, planning on trying it...

"Here's to bread, because without bread, we couldn't have Toast!"

Is that the sort of toast this post is about? I prefer a splash of water in my single malt for a toast. Great way to start a morning in the Airstream. Just doesn't happen that often.
