Involuntary Boondocking

Transformer blew on our side of the RV park. That was some major fireworks.

Hubby is out to dinner w/work folks and doesn't have his phone. Boy is he in for a surprise when he gets back! LOL!

Thank God for propane and a fully-charged battery. Got one exterior light going and one interior light going... gotta conserve... Let the games begin!

Expecting an ice storm tomorrow (we're in NW Arkansas). Is this an omen?

/Lois

It could be worse. It could be raining.
Young Frankenstein aside, do you have a catalytic heater in your trailer? If not, it might be a good idea to consider my redneck furnace, which consists of a clay flowerpot turned upside down on one of the stove burners. Turn the burner on low, and it will help keep the trailer warm. Crack a vent or window so the stove doesn't gas you. Keep the main door unlocked, if you get an ice storm it could freeze the lock, and you'll be locked out.

oh yeah, nix the outside light. Why expend 50% of your power to light the outside?
