Very interesting... Would be useful as a backpack/survival device for charging a cell phone, GPS or hand-held radio.

Not sure of the practicality for RVers. It would probably be hard to match the current produced by existing generator and solar technology, versus a larger version of this device. It might take a lot of propane to recharge Airstream batteries after a night in freezing weather with the furnace running.

Think I'll stick with my portable solar charger. Can't charge at night with solar, but I don't have to burn anything with solar, either.

Now if only they came up with a version that attaches your regular barbecue grill, it would sell like hotcakes!

Here is another battery(cell phone/electronics) charging approach. It uses butane cartridges.
