We have two sets of keys...one for the truck and one for the Airstream. Both have keys to the house. We each carry both sets, and we make sure we have at least one set of keys before we leave the trailer. It only took getting locked out once to train us.

Oy, if I could just get my partner to carry the set of Argosy keys I hand him every trip... but it's just an OCD problem for me, really, I get a twitch if I don't have keys on me.

I'm not sure how many times we've had this conversation: "Hey, is the trailer locked?" "Yes, but you have keys." "They're in the trailer."

My A/S manual describes a remote, and there is a dash switch that fires off the solenoids and locks both doors. I haven't tried to get a replacement remote yet, still like hardware.

Real estate agents use a push-button combination to open a little key locker. I got ahold of one that has a shackle. Drilled a couple of holes in the bumper locker, and mounted it in there. It holds 4 or 5 keys and a twenty dollar bill or two. jim

LOL, kudos to you two if you have had that conversation more than once. I'm sure DW would not let me near 'her' Airstream after the first conversation :-P

Airstream key around my neck on a chain. Spares in the truck. Spare truck key hidden in case I lock myself out of that. The key on the chain makes it convenient to ALWAYS LOCK UP whenever I leave even it it's for a few minutes for a bike ride, shower etc.
