Does anyone know a good place to boondock in the Adirondaks?

We're going to go to Lewey Lake in July for a few nights and we were wondering if anyone knows another nice place to go boondocking. We have two dogs with us and we like to go kayaking. Thanks in advance. )

Moose River Recreation Area is a large state owned track of wilderness that is located (two entrances) in Indian Lake (few miles north on rt 30) and Inlet. The road in can be rough but usually maintained by the towns. I've seen class A motorhomes camping at Moose river. If you take the Indian Lake entrance right at the gate into Moose River is a large camping area located at Wakely dam. Nice flow to Canoe/Kayak which will lead you into the Cedar River. directions from Lewey Lake are:
Take Rt. 30 north to town of Indian Lake, take a left at Intersection (Rt 30/28). Proceed through town heading towards Lake Durant and Blue Mountain Lake. As you cross the bridge over cedar river the cedar river golf course is on the left. Just pass the golf course you will see a cemetery on the left, take the left hand turn on to Cedar River road and follow to the end ( Wakely dam camping area). There are maps available at the gate in the registration log. Many lakes and ponds to explore with short carries ( Ice House Pond 0.3 miles as an example) There are 40-50 miles of dirt roads to explore and lots of trails ( Northville/Lake Placid trail runs though the area). This camping area is free and sites are first come/first served. There are over 100 sites so finding a site is usually not a problem. I have camped there since the 1970's and still do. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll have to look into it. It's nice to have recommendations from people, to many places out there and a lot of them sound much better than they really are.
