Thumbs up Bryce, UT

Howdy from Bryce, UT! Beautiful boondocking just outside of Bryce Canyon National Park, totally private, wide open, love it.

Hopefully it doesn't get too chilly.

Just watch out for random slow moving downhill vehicles lol. Loving your work on Instagram Those Verizon download speed in the middle of nowhere pretty much affirm our decision to switch to Verizon

Beautiful photos. And when I read and see threads like yours it sure does make me take a few steps back and ask myself if having a house and all the responsibilities is really what makes me happy.

Love the photos, looks like a nice area out on the Paunsaugunt, judging by the mountains in the background. Where are you camped in relation to Bryce Canyon City and Hwy. 12? Is this off the road headed toward Antimony or Pine Lake?

Wow, that looks awesome! I feel sheepish asking about the location. It's like asking a successful fisherman where the fish are biting.

That's a heckuva playground for the young one.

Look on your maps for Toms Best Spring Road off of Hwy 12. I don't know where BA is but there are lots of boondocks on this road. It is west of Bryce.

5.1 miles from the Sinclar in Bryce Canyon City off of Johns Valley Road

Geo: 37.7316, -112.0945

So.... it went down to 28 degrees last night, and it looks like it's going down into the high 20's low 30's all week. That will empty propane tanks fast. So I think we are heading south.

Bummed, but we go with the weather.

My other two concerns, the weather, calls for overcast skies with some rain this week, and my generator naturally decided to stop running. I have solar, but with these temperatures, batteries can be drained fast running the furnace. Also, I've got 20 gallons of water in the truck, and while I don't think it would freeze with it just dropping down overnight, the thought did cross my mind if my water jugs crack.

Premature posting I guess. Next post, Boondooking in Arizona. lol

Thanks, and safe travels - love your pictures and posts. Curious if you saw pronghorn / antelope out where you were. We haven't boondocked out on John's Valley Road, but we did decide we liked the USFS Pine Lake CG just further north from ya'll.

Our AS lives in that area, about 90 miles north. We are winterizing today because of the colder temps and hard freezes coming soon. Wish we were still camping, but the weather and work habit seem to interfere...

Regards - Ron

We are already in ARizona, due to cold and rainy weather. Cholla campground on Theodore Roosevelt Lake. Very nice here right now. $6 a night, $3 with a Senior Pass. Great solar showers. Flush toilets. Dump site. Hardly anybody here.
