Those lights are designed from a tiki called a Paul Marshall design. I have them...very cool. Good find and in the original box.

Only has a pit toliet, no electric and no water.

The location has just been opend for camping and it just so happens the person responsible for issuing those permits works two doors down from me !

If anyone is interested in an informal meet & greet off the beaten path let me know and we'll arrange for it.

Brian,

We need to do this in the fall!! What do ya think?

Woah--just happened upon this thread. Got my attention, now! More info!!! I'm always up for a trip where I can carry my longbow! I'll be in Utah elk hunting until our season opener, but after that, no plans beyond some quality time in our woods and in KS.

Hi Tarti,

I don't think you can get a permit for just single trailer camping (you need to be a group.) However, across the park (meaning not lakeside) there are several areas of camping. Here is a link to the park map:
http://extra.mdc.mo.gov/documents/ar...es/6214map.pdf

I think all Missouri Department of Conservation Lands are first come first serve camping, but Brian will be able to confirm that.

Enjoy Missouri! October is a great time to visit.

That's correct Tina. There are many campsites all over the area, but the area next to the lake is only open for organized group camping by permit. The staff hope to develop several campsites by the lake in the future.
