Can you get the trailer level enough for the fridge without straining the TV suspension? If so then no, it is not necessary to unhook. But do pull your umbilical cable. It is possible for the trailer to discharge the battery of some TV's.

Agree with what Al and Missy said.
However, I usually unhook, because I like to barbecue off the tailgate of my truck. Also, because I tend to need to wander around all sides of my trailer for various reasons, some real, some imagined, so we won't go into exactly what they are right now, but by the time I add in the extra effort it takes me to walk all the way around the truck or over the hitch I think it would take less effort to just unhitch most of the time.

OP, Not only no but heck no.
I can't remember a trip boondocking in the desert that I have unhitched unless I wanted to take the truck four wheeling.

Make sure the tongue weight of the TV can handle the extra weight of you and others in the camper

If you are in the middle of nowhere, a quick getaway may be necessary for health or security reasons with no time to fool with a hitch! Unless you want to leave the trailer to fend on its own.

You don’t have to unhitch, but you might want to put the jack down to firm things up a bit. Less ~wiggly~. Just don’t forget it’s down when you’re ready to roll!

Unless it's just an overnight while on the road, we always unhitch. Why not? We like to explore the areas we are staying... Takes me about 5 min max to hitch up or unhitch. Leveling takes another 5 min with the power drill.
When we do stay hitched, (perhaps bad weather or quick night) I always disconnect the trailer plug from the TV.

Nope, we can usually get close to level ... without unhitching.
