Right. I Figured if you've been there for BATAAN you know what it means and where.

I thought Bataan survivors met at Fontana Village below the dam. Few if them left, God bless them.

At any rate, I lived near WSMR, my Dad worked at Holloman and both my brothers on the range. and camping is going to be pretty dry no matter what!

For the memorial march, the base lets non military members dry camp. The 8 sites they have fill up faster than I can get through on the phone.

So curious if someone has done it for this event. We usually get a motel in Las Cruces. Next year we'd like to bring the trailer and stay on base so we dont have to wake up at 3am.

Well, I can't help you with staying on post, but I can let you camp on my lot on the east side of Las Cruces.

I used to live at WSMR from '81-'83. Aguirre Springs is (or was back then) a nice place to camp and it is very close to WSMR "as the crow flies". It is not far by road either. If you cant camp on base, Aguirre Springs would be the next best (provided its still a nice place).

Yeah I do appreciate the suggestions, but for us, the idea is to be on-base so we dont have to wait in line to get on base at 0300 hours.
