If global warming picks up, we'll be back to the hypsithermal, if not the carboniferous.

Roughing It... New Mexico hot sauce June 15 or July 13, 2015

OK... those who have never "roughed it" with your Airstream, pop up trailer or your 40 foot diesel bus... now you have a soft introduction to using your driving skills, back up experience and no hookups other than what you have loaded as cargo or accessories for an easy Off the Grid camping experience.

Southwest: New Mexico Rockdocking- July 13, 2015 post #44

June 15, 2015 will be our first trip to the area for checking hunter's camps we plan to use and general condition. Anyone who wants can come and help scout out camp sites for the July 13 Boondocking.

Follow the Thread with the dates, place to meet, time and other general things you might want to bring with you.

If you are at Quemado, NM on June 15 and/or July 13th... we will be there "Hell or High Water".

I lived near Conifer, CO for 23 years. At 9,000' elevation. 42" snowfalls hit us routinely in October and the Spring. I live in the Nebraska panhandle now. And laugh when the folks here freak out with 6" of snow. Granted 6" can blow into 10' snow drifts.
Most people don't realize that it is more dangerous to be on the Great Plains in a blizzard than it is in the mountains.
We headed for California two years ago for Thanksgiving. Spent 4 days on the way out in Colorado City, CO and 4 days in Socorro, NM on the way back. Waiting for Raton Pass to be cleared.
Travel in the late fall thru late spring in the west can be a challenge. But I will take it over what has been going on in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas the last couple if weeks.

I think he doth protest too much.

Ease up on judgements of others as it's a relative world.
