It will be a great time, Al.

I only have a 10 gallon grey water tank, but dishwater and bath water can be dumped in their basins out and away from your campsite....at least, you can where Ray says we will be.

Depending, could also pull the plug on the grey and drain it onto the ground.

I did a little research on dump stations along the proposed route. It appear that there will be good options to dump every day that we're traveling. If it helps anyone in their planning efforts, here's a list of options.

RV Dump Stations
Laramie: Wyoming Territorial Prison, $5.00 Donation

Medicine Bow: City Park, Free

Sinclair: I-80 Rest Stop, Free

Lander: Public Works Department, 125 Buena Vista Dr. Free
Popo Agie One-Stop, 8116 E. Main St (US 287), $ ??

Dubois: Three Commercial Campgrounds, Fee

Jackson: Phillips 66, 1055 W. Broadway, $ ??
Shell Gas Station, 580 W. Broadway, $ ?? (appears large with easy access)

Grand Teton NP: Gros Ventre Campground, $ ??

Alpine: Chevron, US 89 & US 26, Free with fill-up, or $5.00

Pinedale: 20 miles NW of town at BLM Warren Bridge Campground, $ ??

That's great to know, Brent.

Thanks for finding that out, especially for we-with-small-tanks.

Dump Stations

Brent has located Dump Stations along the route for everyone's benefit. It really looked great from what he had already put together.

In dispersed camping Off the Grid you still need to bucket grey water away from camp. Black water... is an absolute no, no. If your grey water bucket is heavy... you have to go further away from camp.

On behalf of Laura I thank you profusely. Can it be assumed that opportunities to take on potable water are also as profuse?

I suspect that most of the dump stations will have potable water availability. Additionally, most of the larger towns (Wyoming standards) have a Forest Service office that will allow you to fill your tanks if necessary. We've got about a 20 gallon tank, and I don't expect to need to fill more than once. Water shouldn't be a problem as long as you're conscientious a your use.

Quote from someone needing fresh water on a small boat in the Ocean.

Water is an issue only for those who use too much. I have yet to ever have a water issue anywhere, but must push the point that everyone is responsible for their fresh water.

Since we will be moving and topping off the fuel tank in the process, anyone can top off their fresh water as well. Or refill a plastic jug easily along the routes.

This is truly an Off the Grid when camped. There are rivers and creeks. A spring in one area. I will get a good feel for everyone's capacity to get adjusted to trailer camping in nowhere. There is no issue with anyone saying they have had enough dust, flies and campfire smoke to last a lifetime after just Laramie. Lacking the dust and campfire smoke... maybe some flies, but if it is a wet year... mosquitos could be an issue at some places.

Maggie, Ed and Jan are the most civilized campers I can think of and can give you some... tips from Magdalena 2015.

Thalweg and I live at home, sorta Off the Grid, so this is just a matter of a change of scenery. Do not let the shiny aluminum trailers fool any of you... if you have any second thoughts... 2015 is a good time to reconsider 2016 Wyoming.

Chris and Carla do this in their free time just to see what kind of trouble they can find in northern New Mexico's mountains.

Anyone will find the company the best. These camp sites are my best for this area... when it is not snowing, raining, forest fire, livestock in the road, lumbering teams in the area... and you get the idea.

Some places will have "Bears in Area" notices posted on the trees. Keeps the tourists away, as I see it.

I will repeat one more time... well, I forgot what... buy whatever it would make you reconsider if you are not mentally prepared for this. This is an area that even President Teddy Roosevelt did not dare to tread...

That can make life simpler and more comfortable. What source(s) did you use to find the information? I wanted to do it but didn't know how.

There have been several mentions of burning trash and campfire smoke. So, just to remind us all, in mid-August, most, if not all, of these areas are likely to be under fire restrictions. There is a strong likelihood that fires won't be allowed.

I've got an AllStays app on my phone that gets some of them, but I got most of them here: Sanidumps: RV Dumps, Sani Station, Dump Points comprehensive directory

That's good to know.

If no campfires, will probably still use paper, just for ease and no dishwashing.

Ray sent me this picture of his camper at the Double Cabin campsite that we'll be staying at on the trip.

I don't know, but I might have set the privy up a little further from the camper.
