What Tools?

I just obtained an Airstream that will require extensive repair. Skin replacement etc. I have never done anything like this before but do know that a good set of appropriate tools is essential. Please guide me on what are the best/correct tools, drill, drill bits, rivets, rivet gun(s), shaver, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums and congratulations on your new purchase. The tool I use most often is my Visa card. I find that one with a high limit and very flexible payment options is the best to have.
On the serious side get yourself a good portable drill with a couple extra batteries. I use a Dewalt. You will be drilling out many rivets. I think I use that tool more than any other and just when I think there can not be another rivet to drill there are more staring me in the face. Today I took off my dashboard and actually had to drill out rivets to get it off.
Once again welcome to the forums.

Where to Begin?

We have owned ours for almost 6 years.
First priorities were tires, electric brakes including wiring for lights and hitch height.
Then the problems began.
"Talk is cheap, Airstreams are not." Wally Byam is credited with that.
I am hooked on Airstreams. This is my AAA (American Automobile Association).
One day at a time.
Pictures at work on the wall? How many Airstream links on your computer? Do you hide expenses from your wife? Not me. Is there an extensive file on critical systems? Workshop manuals? Do you dream about your Airstream? Do you like looking at it?
I like Andy at Inland RV but there are many, many others that will help you.
Do not rush quality.
Enjoy life.

What I am doing is I started out with the basics--screwdriver with changable tips, cresent wrench slip joint pliers, and then I keep adding tools that I find that I need as I go, like wire cutters, cordless drill.

Tools

TOOLS........did someone mention.......TOOLS!

I'm a professed tool-a-holic! At least I get to use most of them in my line of work. I'm especially drawn to the high quality, buy them once type of tool. I've found that a top quality tool will never let you down when you need it most (sorry Harbor Freight).

Buy the basics and what you can afford, but try to get the best quality you can.
