Too many holes!
Some PO went drill crazy installing a ZipDee awning on my unit. I've removed the awning because I thought it would look better with a rope and pole one (and it DOES).
I'm polishing again, and these holes still bother me. I've removed the sealant from them because I didn't like the look of the black dots, and I've filled some others (they had added an ugly entrance grab bar OVER the side name plate😝 and I don't know that I like that look either.
So, if you would be so kind and to tell me what is the better option (or go ahead with a new idea!), I would really appreciate it.

Too many holes!
Do a search here for patches. I think the thread is called show me your patches. There are some real cool patches.
I just did a quick search and didn't see it. Make a neat patch. A star or some shape you like and rivet it on

Thanks for the idea! I found this thread: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f381...hes-68104.html
Not sure if it's the one you referenced, but it has me thinking.

That's the one. Frank , 62Overlander, does some beautiful patches. I changed a lot of panels on my trailer to get rid of all the holes. I still may add a creative patch or two before I'm done

My first patch! Covering up way too many holes that a PO drilled for an UGLY handle.

One other recommendation would be to use Olympic rivets on your patches--then you eliminate the holes in the head of the pop rivets.
good luck!

I've never used then, but I'd like to. I understand that they require a shaver, and I don't have the "spare change" for one yet.

Don't need shaver - I use a small grinder or Dremel to finish off the heads. If your careful you can't tell the difference. The secret is light touch and fine grit wheel. I started with a 4 1/2" welding grinder, but it left rough marks on head of rivet - went to 2" battery grinder ($14 from HF) with fine grit - works beautifully - could polish if you wanted perfect - but from 2' can't see the difference between mine and original shaved rivets.

Silver Hawk, thanks for the tip!
Glenritas, that is a clever one. What's in the center of it?

TV cable inlet. BTW It's not mine.
Here's one covering the abandoned heater holes.
Note the unshaved Olympic Rivets.

Chris made a patch for a dent by our door by cutting out an outline of Minnesota out of leftover aluminum from the belly pan. We glued it on with CA glue. Covers the dent perfectly. Patch away!

Cyanoacrylate or"Crazy Glue". Sticks like mad to skin as well.

I was able to borrow a shaver from a local shop ...
And the shaved rivets ... and my TV inlet.
Note the shape of the patch looks like an Airstream
