Sneaky, leaky, rivet !

I had a small leak, found it and fixed it.

Just above it I found a rivet that is leaking so tiny of a dot of water you can hardly see it in a very hard rain.

I used the grey stuff heavy on it outside, then used it inside, it came a hard rain and a little bubble came up filled with water.

Should I remove the grey stuff outside and start over ?

It looks like there is no way this one rivet could be leaking, I coated it completly.........what gives here ?

Everything above it is sealed like a drum and the water is only coming through at this one rivet.........

Yes, consider starting over. Clean the area with mineral spirits and a wooden scraper. Consider using Parbond if you are using Vulkem. Really work the sealer in to the gap around the rivet, then wipe the rivet head clean. Don't bother sealing the inside, you have to stop the leak on the outside or it will travel to the next weak link. If this doesnt solve the problem then clean and reseal the adjoining seams. Keep after it, you'll get it!

Replace the rivet. Or clean around it very carefully and use Vulkem or Sikaflex sealant and make sure to tool the sealant into place, just glopping it on with a caulk gun is normally not going to work.
