That's about the same price as renting one, but you get to keep it. Does the seller have any more?

That was a great price. There are a lot of shavers out there and that is the best one. I have seen one of those last 10 years in a shop that did alot of body work.
I would love to get one at that price.

That'll be the best $60 you ever spent if you plan on replacing many rivets! Good job!

Got lucky on that one....
Have another thing brewing with a commercial trailer dealer that apparently, in ancient history, was an Airstream Dealer. Ran across an ad where they are trying to "clean out the warehouse". One of the listings was "old Airstream parts". Will post what I find. Only problem is he's 3 hours away and I want to see the stuff first hand.

Is there a similar rivet shaver that can be used instead of olympic's shaver or because of the rivets made by olympic

I've heard of some folks using a dremel tool for this purpose.

We just snip the mandrel off with side cutters or flush snips then abrade with red scotchbrite on the die grinder, quick, cheap and safe.

I am not trying to get in a back and forth on this, but nothing will shave the rivet like a shaver. I have used a dremel and it does not do the job even remotely close to well. Perhaps I have a different level of acceptance as to what is expectable, but a dremel just does not look like a bucked rivet when done.

I agree with 62overlander - I tried alternatives and after poor results I spent the bucks for the shaver tool and am very glad I did. The rivets look great every time....Tim

I agree. The rivet shaver is the best way to go.
