replacing insulation?

I have 74 31' AS that I am restoring. Is it necessary to replace the insulation. I haven't determined yet if there is water damaga. If there isn't, is it still a good idea to replace it. Also, how do I remove the rivets and when I put the skins back on, I am assuming I should use new rivets and so what will I need to punch those new rivets in? Thanks!

I started using it last week it is reall y nice it forms to shape.
If you use it in wall just cut 1/2" wide stripes for air spacers.

After you see your insulation, it might help you make up your mind. Ours had lots of mousie tunnels...

Even if clean and dry, I would upgrade ~ you don't want to take the skins apart again, do you?

We tried a combination of materials and did a sandwich layer...not sure how it will fair out. Seems pretty good so far. I think on one thread the guys said they would all get together in 40 years and reinspect to see who was right!
