Repair Shops

Has anyone had any experience with Airstream Adventures Northwest repair shop? Need to take my Bambi in to have an upper left rear panel replaced. They just opened a facility in Boise (Nampa).

One of the easiest ways to determine a shops ability to do the metal work on your Airstream, is to ask them for an estimate.

If it's in line,then OK.

If it's inflated, that usually says they are going to be guessing what they will be doing.

Ball park, for one segment, labor and materials should range between $1100.00 and $1300.00, depending on their labor rate and which exact segment.

How do I know?

I wrote the crash book for the insurance division of Airstream, in 1970, and then taught dealers all over the USA, for four years, how to use it and get it done, "correctly".

If it's a brand-new location, it won't have had time to build any reputation, either good or bad. It would be much better, if they are relatively close to you, if you went there for something else, and see how you were treated.
