Removing vents?

Is there any reason we need to keep the two rear vents on our Safari? We have an electric water heater and won't be using the original furnace, so hubby wants to pull them off and either put in an access door or just cover the space. I hate changing things, so I'm hesitant. I can see his point though if we don't need them. It would be a cleaner line. This is one of the vents and of course there's another on the other side.

Well I sure wouldn't throw them out....If you ever sell, the next owner may want them to go back to original.

Why not just leave 'em on and convert them too access door's.

Our 63' Safari had the same covers, always thought they looked 'kind'a kool.

Leave them on and convert to access doors? That's something we hadn't thought of. He was wanting doors. Hmm
