I have a 1952 Silver a Streak Clipper. Major rebuild. Finishing last of the exterior panels. My new interior plans include lots of new over window cabinets on both the curb side and street side.
I saw these at Colin Hyde's shop that he is using for
1950 era Airstreams. Also here is some of the same attached to the wall.
There are some horizontal ribs on the curb side that are already there. You can see them in the
above the door arch.
this was my starting point, so I don't have anything to refer to.
My question has to do with attachment devices, 5/32" blind rivets, attachment points, as should they have a rib to attach to or the interior skin only. This then gets more complicated as should I also add a vertical arched rib also. Hey to fab the cabinet carcass is cheap and storage is precious and my plans are for almost full length cabinets. This will be done in 30" widths. Limited by my 30" HF brake.
