Rear Dent Repair...

I can't tell you how sickening it is to see that your Airstream has been hit by falling/flying debris. With the terrible storms we have been having in Pennsylvania I guess my number was up. The upper rear panel curbside took a direct hit and now we have a sizable dent to deal with.

We have several options that include replacement panel, removal inner end panel and roll out from behind, suction pulling from exterior, and paintless dent removal with hot glue/slaphammer. Before replacing the panel, I'll try one or move of the above techniques. This will be an ongoing thread and I'll post pictures as we try to work out the dent.

It depends on your desire for perfection. It will never be perfect if you try to repair the panel. It will be structurally sound. If you want perfect, I would replace the panel. If you can live with it being not perfect, then you are good.

Pulling the Dent...Attempt 1

Perry...my "78" has plenty of imperfections, so I'm not looking for perfection. If I could achieve what Dan has done without removing the end cap I would be happy. So the logical way to proceed is to attempt to pull the dent out. I will attempt that later today using 2 1/2" and 4 1/2" suction cup pulls I got at HF for less that $9.00. We'll see what happens...
