Poloxymethylene (POM) Rivets

Just wanted to know if anyone has experience with POM rivets. The factory used 1/4" self threading lag screws to mount the flagpole holder to the bellypan of my Airstream. These screws are always working their way loose. Was planning to use some large head Olympic rivets but while researching rivets found these plastic POM rivets may work at a fraction of the cost.
