Not sure how to fix floor channel

Howdy folks... Need some ideas in how to fix the floor channel in the front of my trailer where the battery boxes currently are. They are being removed and I am replacing the entire sheet of skin under the front window. It looks like the floor channel was just mashed over to accommodate the battery boxes, however the lower C channel that is supposed to go over the edge of the subfloor does not appear to be there.

Here's a photo so you can hopefully see what I mean...

Should I just try to bend it back up and rivet to the messed up metal? Or should I try to cut out those sections and replace it with spliced in segments of the right channel? I don't know how difficult it would be to try to get spliced in channel under the subfloor. I'm kind of leaning towards trying to bend it back up as a first course of action to see how well that goes.

I have concerns about how much structural strength would be lost by using spliced in segments, though if I could get the lower channel around the subfloor that would probably provide significant strength in holding the shell down it the floor.

Please let me know your thoughts!

The original "C" channel on my Gt did not wrap around the ply either. I would just try to straighten it as its pretty soft. If it does crack then replace it. I wouldn't worry to much about building a splice because the originals are not spliced.
