New Toy

I picked up this 5 foot box and pan brake yesterday for $300.00 dollars. I bought it literally across the street from the hanger I work at. It has been setting outside their shop for a couple of years and a For Sale Sign was put on it last week. I finally got in contact with them and bought it yesterday. Some Kroil in the moving parts got everything moving again. I plan on tearing it down, sandblasting, and then repaint it. I will have to move it home in pieces as it will not currently fit through my home shop door. I estimate it weighting in between 800 and a 1000 pounds. I did some research on it and I believe it to be a Chicago Dreis Krump made in the 40's or 50's

He who dies with the most toys wins. Nice metal working tool. I am sure you will enjoy all the new projects you have planned for that. I have been lucky enough to be able to use tools at work but nothing beats having your own.

I can use the tools at work also but nothing is better then having one on hand to just tweak that bend a couple more degrees. I really wasn't in the market to buy one and the seller jumped all over the 300 offer, I wish I would have offered 200 first, but I really didn't think he would take the 300 offer.

Sure come over and borrow it anytime, just bring the gang over to help load in the back of that new car you have.

That is one fine looking box and pan brake!!! At $300, it was a steal. Just think of how inexpensive it was per pound. You also couldn't buy anything new to rival it for many times the price, if at all.
