How to fill old rivet holes

I have replaced the skin in the area of the old water heater. In all of my knowledge I made the patch smaller than the original unit. I now have several empyt rivet holes. How do you all fill these holes. A new rivet and some vulcom? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First choice: Make a biggter patch
Second choice: Fill 'em with rivets
Third choice: Put l.e.d.s in the holes

New rivets & some vulkem...result - a constant reminder of the mistake you made or make a new patch that's bigger.

I'd go with the bigger patch, even if you do have to 'fess up to a "do over"...it's the right thing to do. You won't have to be reminded of it everytime you look at it or explain it away to everybody that admires your trailer. It's that ol' black spot on a white wall thing...it's all you'll see.

That's a no brainer. Get another piece of aluminum and make a proper size panel so that it looks professional. You will be happier with the end result.
