I could hit that fellow with a rock from my house. I will give him a call. Is he a friend of yours?

If your local tool guy doesn't have nutserts, try Home Depot, Lowe's, Orchard Supply or any good hardware store. Also, any outlet that specializes in fasteners.

Auto dealers' "get ready" guys use them to install larger mirrors on trucks where they need to attach to the door skin and don't want to remove the inside trim. Check with someone like that.

They are out there, you just need to find them. They come is many sized as well.

Be very sure you get them installed as tight as you can. If you want to remove the machine screw you use, and the sert spins, you will not be able to remove whatever you have attached. (not that that ever happened to me on the fan shroud of my VW dune buggy)

The memory is the second thing you lose--I don't remember what the first thing is...

I remember the first thing! I really do!

Now, if I could just remember where I put it. I think it's around here somewhere.

Good luck with the nutserts, or rivnuts, or rivserts, or threadserts or whatever they are called. I can't remember.

Have a Merry Christmas all.

And, once you find it, you then have to try to remember "what was it used for?"

Andy

Oh, that shouldn't be a problem Andy. I'll just ask here on the forum. Someone will give a good answer.

Probably you.

Again, Merry Christmas to all.
