Hard water spots on exterior aluminum - How to remove?

Does anyone have proven help to reduce or prevent hard water spots on exterior aluminum skin?

Wax once in awhile and chamois after washing.

The water spots are likely calcium in the water source. Two ways to deal with it.... 1) add a little vinegar to water to rinse... 2) use a water-softener product such as dishwasher product like "RinseAway".
Be aware that vinegar is acetic acid diluted to about 5%. Any bare aluminum may develop an appearance like dull anodizing, so dilute it as much as necessary to remove the spots.
Another solution is to back-away from the AS when viewing it.

Hard water spots are a pain, but I have found a product that worked like a charm when nothing else did. Meguire's, like in the car wax products, has a compound called Water Spot Remover.
