good way to cut rivet shanks?

I just re-installed the rail for the long awning over the road side windows. First time I have used the self seaing rivets. I now have about 40 of the al shanks sticking up 1/2 inch from the head. It is in a place where they will not show. What is a good way to cut them off without a lot of trouble.

One of these:

Mandrel Trimmer

or a good, heavy wire clipper. If you have a dremel, you can sand it down further if the wire clipper leaves it too long. Hoping your self sealing rivets really seal....I've never heard of them...inquiring minds want to know what they are?

I hope your NOT talking about Olympics with the washer. They are BAD and doomed to leak. The window should be done with Olympics and a Vulkem or similar sealer.
