Endcaps for a '61

Does anyone know if the endcaps on the 1961 models are formed or not? I need to replace a couple pieces in a corner and haven't pulled the original ones off yet. I'm just wondering if I can cut the new aluminum and fit it in place or if I need to take the old piece with some new aluminum to a fabricator to match the shape.

Dale,
If you don't see any rivets of segments then your endcaps are fiberglass. If you see rivets or segments then they are aluminum. Your age trailer should be fiberglass. 1960 and newer trailers are 99% fiberglass endcaps except for Bambi, Since Spaceliner is rarer than others you might be apart of the 1%?1

Thanks for the quick reply. It looks and feels like aluminum to me. Someone at some point had painted the top white. Here is a picture one of the endcaps.

Your exterior endcaps are aluminum. They are formed.

The end cap segments are aluminum. These segments are obsolete, however depending on the degree of damage, they can be repaired using assorted metal shaping tool. I recently repaired two rear end cap panels on a 65 Overlander, & most would be hard pressed to figure out which panels were repaired.

Most all of those segments (end caps) are still available.
