End Caps on New AS?

We have a new Flying Cloud 27fb. While enjoying a nice afternoon at the campground today I was reminded of how different the finish is on the end cap panels of our Pete than the straight panels.

Why is that? I've recently washed the coach and when it's clean the end caps are noticeably "less" shiny? I haven't waxed Pete yet but probably will after the dusty antique tractor show in February. Will that help?

It must be different aluminum and searching AF hasn't turned up an answer.....

Thanks !

It's caused by the aluminum being stretched when it's formed - the aluminum used for the end caps is exactly the same as the rest of the trailer. This is one of the things you'll be told if you ever take the Airstream Tour.
