It works extremely well on the end caps and not as well on the 2024-T3 tempered skins. On the tempered skins a helper is required to hold a backing plate to the exterior while rolling from the inside. It is difficult to get a flat skin perfectly flat again but the imperfection can be minimized. if the skin took a hit from a 57 Buick then skin replacement will be in order.
Hail dents WILL disappear all by themselves, except with the segments.

Simply leave the trailer in the sun.

Your flat metal is tempered stress releaved.

The small dents add stress.

The sun will make them go away, with you doing nothing.

We proved that in 1970.

Also dent rollers are not much good for stretched aluminum.

Splitrock nice job on polishing. Anything special you did on polishing in general and on the oxidized area that had the dent?
Thanks

I'm thinking of coming up with a backup pad to be used on the outside of the trailer for when a roller is used or soft mallet. They would have the profile of the section that has the dent to be removed and be made out of medium density polyurethane that is computer milled to match the area maybe 12 16 inch square. Would these be useful? I'm going to try it out when I get back to the dents in my 76 Trade Wind.

Don't over think it, a lead shot bag works just fine.

I have the rollers at the machine shop right now. I don't have a completion date yet as I get a better price if it is a fill in job
