damaged in transport need panels

in transport this airstream got some damage .
I now need two new ( used body panels )
how many hours do i need to count for this job of
replacing the both panels .
what would used panels cost .

Brunoffrance had a crash with his Streamy against a wall and he had the work done in Duisburg at Airstream.de but you could also call Daniel Goldt from Airstream4u. He is really helpfull and is doing the work for Karla (Kneepie) at the moment. He also has a workshop in Horst in the near of Venlo, which is probably nearer for you than his workshops in Bremen and Hamburg.

no parts there.
habe only found one RV salvage yard and did send them a email .
am waiting for there response

did you try to contact Airstream directly?? I think thats where the guy repairing Brunos Airstream got the parts from, maybe not the sheapest way, but maybe the quickest??!!

still No panels
have contacted airstream and am waiting for there reply.
am looking for adresses of airstream salvage jards.
Last year there where pics of a salvage jards on this list.
can't find the info about it.
maby just maby the front panel can de saved by taking it out
and using an englich wheel to roll it back in shape.

I don't think that panel can be salvaaged with an english wheel.Try Andy at inland rv, www.inlandrv.com .Email him with photo, I believe he will have part.I don't think Airstream has panels for that vintage.A panel from a salvage yard may not work either as the holes are drilled by hand and will not line up.I think the lower panel is a flat piece ,no compound curves.You can buy a sheet of aluminum locally to replace it.

Sorry for the delay, I have discovered your thread only today;

I'm a bit surprised that "Airstream.de / Classic caravan" at Duisburg can't get you the panels; the damages are in same positions than mines and he did the work (for €9000 );And i'm persuaded that he earned a lot of money on this repair.
so in my mind, it's not the Airstream.de-guy himself who do the work;there is certainly in the industry zone of Duisburg, a specialised enterprise that works aluminium. Even, i wonder if my two panels came from Airstream factory...
I' ve some doubts about this because i wanted to get pictures of each step of the repairing, from Ato Z . You've seen the pictures ? No ? NOT Me too.

my advice; try to find this aluminium body worker on Duisburg area.

Would be better to find a local aircraft repair facility or trade school. Where I live they are teaching aircraft sheet metal work in the high schools now.

the great problem is to find the panels ; they are not simply aluminium panels, they are formed in 3 dimensions; only a very specialized tool can do that;
When i seached the panels for my damage, C G Trailer was able to get them (from the Airstream factory ) and ship them to FRANCE:

I think they are in vacation for this time.
