I believe the reason the taller rock guards are not OEM on Bambis is that they would cover up the Bambi badging (in your case the International badging) forward of the awning arms on the curb side and in the same position on the street side. Our 2006 19' Safari SE has the shorter guards. I think if you look at yout unit, you'll see the reason they didn't come with the taller guards.

We have a few little dings to the area above the guards, but somehow they don't seem as awful knowing that they got there through towing and enjoying the trailer. The guards take the brunt of the flying stones, thankfully. We have mud flaps on the truck which seem to help with the flying stones...but nothing is going to protect it completely...flying stones can come from other vehicles, too...

Hi Eric,
I well know this situation...
Not a pleasure when you discover that...I know that... Hopefully, the insurrance is there to cover the damages but something is wrong on a vintage A/S, even after repairing ( not same look, no more oxydize aluminum...) and with your new A/S, i thing there'll be no problem at all for the look.[IMG]

If at all possible go back to J. C., it will take them no more than two days and the hospitality there is great. We had a lower panel replaced on our rear (is that P.C.?...) at Jackson Center and they had it done before lunch on day 2. We were able to sleep in it even though it was not finished.
