Bambi hinge rivets?

Anyone know what kind of rivets these are on the Bambi (1961) door hinges? They are big and conical, they almost look like they are some kind of pop rivets that have been shaved (see the little dot in the center--these do not look like the dots you sometimes see in the center of solid flush rivet, it looks more like a little hole that is almost closed the shaving action).

I think this info has been posted previously, but can't find the post.

Zep ~

Where did you get these photos? Is there a chance these are bucked rivets that were installed either at the factory or by an owner? They look very solid to me. I sure could have used those to keep my door from coming off.

Those look like 5/32 brazier head in 2117 aluminum or an AD. to get the same dead diameter in a 470 one would have to use 3/16 rivets.

They are definitely too peaked to be brazier heads. Think Madonna's bra. And the head diameter is bigger than 1/8" brazier or 5/32" modified brazier. Is it possible they are standard 5/32" brazier heads (which would be bigger than a modified brazier head)?

It's the strange peaked/conical shape of the head that has me buffaloed.

Turns out they are 5/32" solid rivets with Madonna bra cup heads.

The dot in the center is just a drill centering dimple. Easy as pie to drill out.

I believe the dot in the head means it is a hard rivet, which would make sense on a door hinge. Universal rivets are more domed than braziers. Could that be it?
