Wood Species???

Hi All,
Hope everybody is enjoying this wonderful Fall weather!

I have a question for the community, that I hope somebody would know the answer.
What species of wood is used in a 1967 Safari 22 ft TT? It looks like Cherry, but could be Birch/Maple stained reddish???
I need to replace a couple bulkhead walls and such.
Thanks for your help and time!

Actually, if it was the International model it WAS cherry!

Here's some interesting reading from the Airstream archives.

Thanks for the response and links.
Here is a picture of the wood, and of the name plate. Not sure it is a International or not. The wood definitely looks like Cherry tho.

Sorry, could not upload pics for some reason. I will try later.
Thank You

After going to the link, I saw it stated that "Land Yacht" models are ash. Mine is a Land Yacht! So I guess I have my answer.
Thanks so much, Ken

Looking at brochure pictures that are posted above, the wood in the second picture is cherry. The wood in the first picture looks like ash. Ash looks a lot like oak, but it is whiter. Have not seen it stained reddish. Take a magnifying glass and look at it close. If it is white had has a pretty visible pore structure it is ash. If it is reddish, and has very fine, tight grain with a line between growth rings it is cherry.

Thanks for the help...it was all good stuff.
I am messing around sanding and trial staining.
Looks good with "merlot" stain (what a coincidence) )
I think I will go with Ash thru out the cabin.
Talk at you soon with next chapter.
